
Hurricanes Trail 3-2 in Atlantic Finals After Wednesday Loss in Moncton

MONCTON, N.B. - The Halifax Hurricanes weren't able to bounce back in Moncton as they fell to the Magic 111-93 on Wednesday night.
After limiting the Hurricanes to just 16 points in the second quarter, the Magic lead grew to as much as 22 points in the third and Halifax was unable to cut it back to single digits, turning the ball over 19 times and hitting just 52.6 per cent of their 38 foul shots in the contest.
The Hurricanes were also in foul trouble early, with six Hurricane player finishing the game with at least four fouls, severely limiting minutes for some players, such as Chadrack Lufile, who only saw 12 minutes on the floor. In total, the Hurricanes were called for 36 fouls on the night to Moncton's 27.
Terry Thomas led the Hurricanes with a strong 25-point, 16-rebound performance in 36 minutes. He also grabbed two steals and a block in his effort.
Joel Kindred knocked down 15 points off the bench in just 19 minutes and Meshack Lufile had a strong night with 13 points off the bench.
Hurricanes bigs Jordan Washington and Rhamel Brown finished with 10 and 12 points respectively and each had five fouls.
Now down three games to two, the loss puts Halifax on the defensive and they will need to stave off elimination defend their home court at Scotiabank Centre on Friday, May 3 for Game 6 of the NBL Canada Atlantic Division Finals.
