Halifax Hurricanes News Release
Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club fell to the Windsor Express 93-111 in NBLC action April 24th, at the Scotiabank Centre. In their last home game of the season the Hurricanes had a crowd of 3,143 fans at the Scotiabank Centre.
Hurricanes trailed the Express at the end of the first quarter 25-32. In the second quarter the Express outscored the Hurricanes 21-25, and lead 46-57 at halftime. In the third quarter the Express outscored the Hurricanes 20-26. The Express outscored the Hurricanes 27-28 in the final quarter and the Windsor Express prevailed; The final score of the game was 93-111.
Guard, Justin Johnson scored 25 points for the Hurricanes. Shane Gibson scored 16 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Forward, Billy White scored 10 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 8 points.
Forward, Chris Commons scored 26 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Forward, Brandon Robinson also scored 26 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Guard, Billy Rush scored 15 points. Forward, Maurice Bolden scored 11 points in the Windsor Express victory.
Hurricanes will play their last 3 regular season games on the road, visiting the Miracles on the 28th, the Island Storm on the 29th and the Saint John Mill Rats on the 30th.
