Justin Johnson was clutch again in the victory, hitting 2 free throws in the last minute and scoring a layup to give Halifax the lead with 30 seconds remaining in the game.

When asked about how the season was going thus far, Johnson said, "The last six games have been a grind, a lot of fight and a lot of comeback wins, they haven't really been easy wins but a win is a win, we just keep fighting." Johnson was named NBL Canada Player of the Week last week, he said, "I just want to use my experience as a ball handler, attacking the paint when I can, and when the game is on the line I have to be more aggressive by going to the basket, because if I don't make the shot I'll probably get fouled and I know I'm a good free throw shooter."

Halifax Hurricanes face the Saint John Mill Rats next Wednesday, January 13th, at the Scotiabank Centre.
