Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Island Storm 122-92 in NBLC action April 23rd, at the Eastlink Centre. The Hurricanes are on a five game winning streak, and with this win the Hurricanes are 27-9 leading the league in most games won.

Hurricanes led the Storm at the end of the first quarter 27-22. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Storm 28-26, and the Hurricanes lead 55-48 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Storm 33-20. The Hurricanes outscored the Storm 34-24 in the final quarter and the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 122-92.

Guard, Joel Friesen led the Hurricanes with 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 17 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 16 points. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 16 points. Forward, Billy White scored 16 points. Guard, Cliff Clinkscales scored 10 points and had 13 assists.

Forward, Brent Jennings scored 18 points. Guard, Morgan Lewis scored 16 points. Forward, Terry Thomas scored 13 points. Center, Chad Posthumus scored 12 points. Guard, Joseph Bertrand scored 11 points in the Island loss.
