
HURRICANES DEFEAT MONCTON MAGIC IN PRE-SEASON

WOLFVILLE, N.S. -- The Halifax Hurricanes grabbed their first win of the season in pre-season action on Sunday against the Moncton Magic, 114-101, at Acadia University in Wolfville.
After a close, back-and-forth game, the Hurricanes pulled ahead in the fourth quarter. The Hurricanes late push was led by stellar shooting from returning guard Ta'Quann Zimmerman. Newcomer Tim Coleman also chipped in with scoring and great passing in transition.
Watch for the Hurricanes finalized season roster later this week.
The Hurricanes will open the season at home against NBL Canada's newest team, the St. John's Edge on Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax at 2 p.m.
