
Hurricanes Defeat Miracles, Sail to Four Game Win Streak

Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Moncton Miracles 110-90 in NBLC action April 7th, at the Scotiabank Centre. The Hurricanes are on a four game winning streak, and with this win the Hurricanes are 22-8 leading the league in most games won.
Hurricanes led the Miracles at the end of the first quarter 23-19. In the second quarter the Hurricanes and the Miracles were even at 25-25, and lead 48-42 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Miracles 32-23. The Hurricanes outscored the Miracles 22-13 in the final quarter and the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 110-90.
Center, Kyle Hunt led all scorers with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Forward, Mike Glover scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Guard, Joel Friesen scored 17 points. Guard, Brandon Bowdry scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 14 point for the Hurricanes.
Forward, Mike Martin scored 17 points for the Miracles. Guard, Dexter Strickland scored 17 points. Guard, Tydran Beaty scored 14 points. Guard, James Justice scored 12 points for the Miracles.
This win marks the fourth win in a row for the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes will face the Saint John Mill Rats on Saturday evening April 9th in Saint John. The Hurricanes will face the Saint John Mill Rats at home on Sunday at 2:00pm. The Hurricanes have three home games remaining in the regular season.
