Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Moncton Miracles 102-95 in NBLC action April 28th, at the Moncton Coliseum. The Hurricanes are back in the winning column, and with this win the Hurricanes are 28-10 leading the league in most games won.
Hurricanes led the Miracles at the end of the first quarter 28-25. In the second quarter the Miracles outscored the Hurricanes 24-26, but the Hurricanes lead 52-51 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Miracles 23-21. The Hurricanes outscored the Miracles 27-23 in the final quarter and the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 102-95.
Guard, Justin Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Guard, Shane Gibson scored 19 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 16 and grabbed 11. Forward, Billy White scored 11 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 10 points.
Guard, Dexter Strickland scored 21 points and had 7 assists. Guard, James Justice scored 20 points. Forward, Mike Martin scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Forward, Tydran Beaty scored 15 points for the Miracles in the loss.
Halifax Hurricanes will play the Island Storm and the Saint John Mill Rats in their final two games of the regular season this weekend.
