
Hurricanes Defeat Mill Rats in Game 3 of Conference Finals

Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Saint John Mill Rats 110-104 in game three of the Atlantic Conference Championships, at the Harbour Station. Hurricanes lead the 7 game series, 3-0.
Mill Rats led the Hurricanes 21-24 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 21-16, and the Hurricanes lead 42-40 at halftime. In the third quarter the Mill Rats outscored the Hurricanes 17-23. The Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 33-29 in the final quarter, and in overtime Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 18-12 enough to earn a strong victory in game three; The final score of the game was 110-104.
Guard, Shane Gibson led all scorers with 18 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 17 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 17 points. Forward, Kevin Loiselle scored 16 points. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Guard, Cliff Clinkscales scored 7 points and had 8 assists.
Guard, Doug Herring Jr led all scorers with 23 points. Guard, Anthony Anderson scored 18 points. Forward, Gabe Freeman scored 17 points. Guard, Chris Smith scored 16 points.
Halifax Hurricanes lead 3-0 in the series and will play game four tomorrow evening, Saturday May 21st at the Harbour Station.
