Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club were in action Monday June 6th at the Budweiser Gardens for Game 3 of NBL Canada Finals against the London Lightning. Hurricanes defeated the Lightning 101-96.

Hurricanes led after the first quarter 22-20, in the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Lightning 19-18 and at Halftime the Hurricanes led 41-38. In the third quarter the Hurricanes extended the lead to four, outscoring London 32-31, and in the final quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Lightning 28-27; enough to earn the 101-96 victory.

Guard, Justin Johnson led the Hurricanes with 16 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 16 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Guard, Brandon Bowdry scored 13 points. Forward, Kevin Loiselle scored 11 points. Guard, Shane Gibson scored 11 points. Guard, Joel Friesen scored 10 points.

Guard, Akeem Scott led the Lightning with 25 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds. Forward, Akeem Wright scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Guard, Garrett Williamson scored 15 points. Forward, Stephen Maxwell scored 13 points. Forward, Ryan Anderson scored 10 points. Guard, Warren Ward scored 10 points.

Hurricanes will play Games 4 and 5 in London on Wednesday and Friday.
