Hurricanes Cruise to 67-Point Blowout over Windsor Express

HALIFAX, N.S. - The Halifax Hurricanes controlled all four quarters of Wednesday night's blowout win over the Windsor Express at Scotiabank Centre, cruising to a 144-77 victory.

Halifax caught fire in the second quarter, racking up 44 points in the frame, then limited the Express to just 13 points in the third.

Every member of the Hurricanes scored at least six points in the contest, but Mike Poole led the team with a game-high 33 points in just three quarters. Poole hit five threes, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out eight assists.

Joel Kindred followed that with 20 points off the bench, grabbed seven rebounds and had four assists in the big win.

As a team, Halifax shot a red-hot 58.1 per cent from the field and 59.3 per cent from three. They outrebounded the Express 71-42. On the defence, the Hurricanes limited the Express to just 28.4 per cent shooting, only allowing the Express to rack up nine assists in the blow out.

On Thursday, the Hurricanes play their final road game of the season in Cape Breton against the Highlanders at 7 p.m. That game will be live streamed on www.NBLCLive.ca!
