HUNTSVILLE, Ala., October 23, 2002 â The Huntsville Flight and the NBDL will host local player tryouts on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday October 27th at Optimist Park Recreation Center (703 Oakwood Ave., 256-427-5775) in Huntsville.
On Saturday, tryouts will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 2-5 p.m. Ten (10) participants from Saturday will be asked to come back Sunday to participate in an invitation-only session from 2-5 p.m.
With league approval, up to three players from the local tryout could be invited to take part in the Flight's training camp that will be held in Huntsville in early November.
Screws quipped, " I'm no Shaq or Kobe but I've Got Game Too."
There is a $50 registration fee, which guarantees a spot for up to 100 players on the first day of the local tryout camp. Prospective players should contact the Flight by phone at (256) 429-1019 for specific registration information.
