Huntsville Flight Adds Kyle Davis

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 8 – The Huntsville Flight of the NBA's National Basketball Development League has acquired center Kyle Davis and waived forward Damon Thornton, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations and player personnel Chris Alpert and Flight coach Ralph Lewis.

At 6-9, 245, Davis played collegiately at Auburn ('04) and was in training camp with the New Jersey Nets this season. He left as Auburn's all-time leader in blocked shots (360), second in Southeastern Conference history. In 28 games (14 starts) as a senior at Auburn he averaged 5.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots. His college career numbers include 116 games (78 starts), 5.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.1 blocked shots.

Thornton played in eight games since being acquired by the Flight on February 4, averaging 15.1 minutes, 4.1 points and 5.0 rebounds.

Davis is expected to play Saturday when the Flight is host to Asheville.
