Huntsville, Ala. (Mar. 22) – Eugene Edgerson connected on a second-chance lay-up with :10.5 remaining in the game to give the Mobile Revelers a 78-76 win over the Huntsville Flight tonight at the Von Braun Center. The Flight finished regular season play with a 26-30 record after dropping three straight games in four days. The NBDL Playoff bound Revelers increase to 30-25 with one game remaining in the regular season.

"Mobile is a good team and [this series] has been a tough battle all season," said Flight head coach Bob Thornton. "We fought through a lot of adversity this season and I'm proud of the way the guys didn't give up tonight."

Huntsville led by as much as nine points in the first half but only took a 37-36 nod into the locker room. The Flight returned from the break pulling out to an eight-point lead (51-43) at the 3:00 mark; however, they were unable to maintain the distance as Mobile battled back to pull within 54-51 to end the period. Huntsville hit each of the next four shots to open the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run taking a 64-53 lead. The Revelers responded with a 17-5 run over the next three minutes to take a 70-69 lead with 2:54 remaining in the game. Eric Chenowith and Lonnie Harrell sank back-to-back 3-pointers to tie the game at 76-all with :27.5 remaining. Edgerson's game-winning lay-up denied the Flight its 14th overtime game of the season.

"We come to play every time we step on the floor," said Revelers head coach Sam Vincent. "We were a little sluggish early but we picked it up in the second half. I was happy with the win. Huntsville was motivated to beat us tonight and they played hard."

The Flight, which placed three players in double figures, were led by Jimmie Hunter's 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Greg Stolt came off the bench to score 17 points sinking 5-of-7 from long-range and Eric Chenowith chipped in 10. Mike Wilks set a team record dishing out 10 assists.

The Revelers placed four players in double figures as Isaac Fontaine led the team scoring 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Rashad Phillips scored 14, Derek Hood added 12 and Lawrence Moten chipped in 11.

The Revelers return home to host the NBDL Playoff bound Columbus Riverdragons tomorrow, March 23. The winner of the game will be the third seed in the 2002 NBDL Playoffs with the loser taking the fourth seed.
