Hunt Named Warrior Offensive Player of the Week

Annapolis, MD - Veteran midfielder Ben Hunt was named Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for Week 7 of the 2014 season after his superb play against the Boston Cannons. The winners are chosen every week by MLL Commissioner David Gross and are based on outstanding in-game achievements.

Hunt led the Bayhawks to a 16-15 win over the Cannons Saturday night, improving the teams' record to 2-5. The midfielder scored six of Chesapeake's 16 goals on the evening, registering a stellar .86 shooting percentage. He also notched 2 assists.

Accumulating eight points, Hunt scored three goals in each half, with his two assists delivered to attackman Drew Westervelt. The University of North Carolina alum will look to continue his success as the Bayhawks travel to Denver to face the Outlaws this Saturday, June 21st, at 7:00 PM (ET). The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.

The Bayhawks return home on Thursday, July 17th, against the Rochester Rattlers at 7:00 PM at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
