Jackson Generals News Release

Jackson, Tenn. - The Seattle Mariners announced that Jackson Generals right-handed pitcher Danny Hultzen has been placed on the disabled list. Right-handed pitcher Andrew Kittredge has been transferred to the Generals from the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers to keep Jackson's active roster at 25 players. These moves were made ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Montgomery Biscuits.

Hultzen went 0-1 with a 3.38 earned run average over three appearances for Jackson this month. He made his season debut on May 1, allowing no earned runs in 3.1 innings pitched against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. It was Hultzen's first outing in 20 months after sitting out the entire 2014 season due to surgery.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft, Hultzen is still recognized as a Seattle Mariners pitching prospect by both MLB Pipeline (No. 23) and Baseball America (No. 30).

Kittredge is back with Jackson after his second stint of the season with the Tacoma Rainiers. He has pitched in eight total contests this year between the Generals and the Rainiers, including a start for Tacoma on May 14 against the Salt Lake Bees.

Kittredge, who signed with Seattle in 2011 as a non-drafted free agent, made two relief appearances earlier this season for the Generals. He tossed 3.1 innings over two appearances with no wins, losses or saves.

Jackson's roster includes 25 active players with seven on the disabled list after Tuesday's pair of roster moves. Kittredge is expected to wear No. 50 for the Generals once again. An updated roster is attached.

The Generals host the Montgomery Biscuits tonight at 7:05 p.m. CT at The Ballpark at Jackson. Tuesday's contest opens a five-game homestand on another Two-For-Tuesday. Fans can get two general admission tickets, 24-oz. Pepsi products, draft beers, hot dogs and popcorn for the price of one. To purchase tickets, call (731) 988.5299, stop by the park or visit to jacksongeneralsbaseball.com.
