Houston SaberCats to Open 2023 MLR Season vs. Jackals

HOUSTON -- The Houston SaberCats will kick off their sixth season on Sunday, February 19, against the Dallas Jackals at Choctaw Stadium. The SaberCats' season opener will be the first of a 16-game regular season at 7 PM CT.

Coming off their most successful season in franchise history, second-year Coach Pote Human and Director of Rugby Heyneke Meyer will continue to lead the SaberCats in 2023.

The SaberCats advanced to the Western Conference Finals last season, where they fell to the Seattle Seawolves.

"It's time to show everyone what the team has been working on all off-season and of course, we can't wait to have all of our fans in Houston out to a game at SaberCats Stadium." -- SaberCats President J.T. Onyett.
