
Houston Dash Announce Official 2019 Roster

HOUSTON - The Houston Dash announced their official roster for the 2019 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) regular season prior to the home opener on Sunday, April 14 at BBVA Compass Stadium against Reign FC.
Three-year veteran and club Golden Boot winner Rachel Daly returns for her fourth year with the club, as well as captain Kealia Ohai and Defensive Player of the Year Amber Brooks. Goalkeeper Jane Campbell and midfielder Sofia Huerta join them as five of the 12 players that return from the 2018 season, the most in club history.
Additionally, Canadian Women's National Team defender Allysha Chapman, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince will form part of the 19-player roster as Federation Players.
Twelve members of the Dash have represented their countries at the international level. Campbell debuted with the USWNT at BBVA Compass Stadium on April 9, 2016, while Brooks, Huerta, Ohai, and Kristie Mewis have each earned at least one international cap for the three-time FIFA Women's World Cup winners. Agnew, Chapman, Prince and Schmidt are members of the CanWNT; midfielder Kyah Simon and defender Clare Polkinghorne feature for Australia; and BiancaHenninger and Romero have played for the Mexican Women's National Team.
Simon will report to the team later this week to continue her rehabilitation from an offseason injury. Midfielder Meleana Shim has not yet reported to the team as she continues her rehabilitation from an offseason injury in the Pacific Northwest.
