HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros took a 3-1 series lead before dropping Game 5 of the West Division Finals of the Calder Cup Playoffs presented by the Maple Leaf Pub. The North Division's Manitoba Moose have been waiting since last Wednesday to see who they will face in the Western Conference Finals. The only series loss came against the Moose in seven games during the 2001 Western Conference Semifinals after the Aeros led 3-1. The Aeros are 4-0 after a loss so far in the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs with goaltender Anton Khudobin posting a 1.19 goals against average and a .955 save percentage in such games.

Games 6 and 7 against the Admirals are slated for tonight and Wednesday, May 13 in Milwaukee if necessary. All road games will be shown at the Maple Leaf Pub including these games in Milwaukee. The Maple Leaf Pub is located just south of downtown Houston at 514 Elgin Street. Houston won back-to-back home games last week to give the club a 3-1 lead heading into Saturday's Game 5 but dropped that contest 4-3 to send the series back to Milwaukee. The Aeros followed a Game 2 loss by posting a 3-1 win Tuesday night with two goals coming in the third period. Khudobin earned his second shutout of the post season in Thursday's 2-0 blanking on his 23rd birthday. Click here to view all recent news, notes and game recaps.
