Houston Aeros Announce 2009-10 Promotional Schedule, Theme Nights

HOUSTON - The Houston Aeros announced today their promotional schedule and theme nights for the 2009-10 regular season. The Aeros will have 18 promotional nights and 27 themed games this season. The Aeros will also unveil their 3rd jersey during the second half of the season and will have four "red" nights, asking fans to wear red to the game.
The promotional list this season includes the return of fan favorite items not on last seasons' promotional list; on Saturday, October 10th versus Texas, the Aeros will give away a "Best in Texas" t-shirt, on Saturday, January 16th versus Toronto, the Aeros will give away trading cards, on Saturday, February 13th versus Grand Rapids, the team will give away a team poster, and Saturday, April 4th will be a fan appreciation puck. Returning items from last year include a rally towel on opening night, along with magnetic schedules which will be available all of opening weekend when the Aeros face the Texas Stars October 9th and 10th. The 2009-10 Aeros team calendar will be given away on Saturday, October 17th as the Stars return to town to face Houston. On Sunday, January 10th, the Aeros will feature an aluminum lunch kit for Chillypalooza as the Aeros host Rockford, and Saturday, March 20th the Aeros will give away a Cal Clutterbuck bobblehead for "Tough Guy Night" when they host Milwaukee.
The Aeros also return favorite themes from last season including the Susan G. Komen game on Saturday, October 17th, and the second annual Chilly's Pet Pal's Game on Sunday, November 22nd. The Aeros will also feature the return of Military Night on Saturday, November 7th, Bikini Night on Saturday, December 26th and Guns & Hoses Night on Monday, December 28th. New themes this year include Michael Jackson Tribune Night on Friday, October 16th, New Moon Night on Wednesday, November 18th, and Singles night on Friday, February 13th. The Aeros have also teamed up with Radio Disney for added family entertainment for Sunday Family Days.
The Aeros open the regular season Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd in Manitoba, followed by the return to Toyota Center for Houston's home opener October 9th against the Texas Stars. For more information visit aeros.com or call 713-974-PUCK (7825).
