Aiken Foxhounds News Release
Reid Price pitched well and drove in two runs, and Scott Houin and Kelly Hunt each hit solo home runs in a three-run first inning as the Aiken Foxhounds (29-32, 7-9) won for the first time in their last six meetings with the Anderson Joes (20-41, 7-9), beating their in-state rivals 8-4 Friday night at Roberto Hernandez Stadium.
With the players from both teams wearing throwback uniforms to honor the Negro Leagues, the home team looked like the Foxhounds of old, the team that won their first eight home games of the season. Aiken now holds an 8-6 lead over the Joes in the Palmetto State Series.
Tony Harper went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI, Bradley Key went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, Houin went 2-for-4 with two RBI, and Price drove in two runs.
Aiken and Anderson conclude their three-games series with a 7:05 PM game on Saturday night at Hernande Stadium.
