
Horton Named 2nd Star, Baskin Honored

The North American Hockey League announced today their Easton Divisional Stars of the Week. Among the list of recipients were two Aberdeen Wings players.
Wings defenseman #4 Jake Horton (D-Plymouth, MN) was named 2nd Star of the Week after his huge performance in last weekend's sweep of the Minnesota Magicians. Friday night, Horton assisted on two goals including the game-winner in overtime. Saturday night, he scored a goal to start the third period. It was his 21st goal of the season which leads of NAHL Defensemen.
Also receiving honorable mention was Wings forward #27 Erik Baskin (F-Minnetonka, MN) who had a great weekend. He scored three goals in the two games including a penalty shot goal and the game winner in overtime on Friday.
Horton is a Division-I commit to the UMass Minutemen and Baskin is a Division-I commit to the Air Force Academy Falcons. They are two of 18 current and former Wings players to make Division-I commitments in just the organization's fourth season.
The Aberdeen Wings are on the road this weekend to Wenatchee, Washington to take on the Wild.
