Louisville Fire News Release
Louisville Fire owner Will Wolford has two passions, football and horse racing. Tomorrow afternoon at Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, KY Wolford's stakes winning horse Honor in War will run in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile. Post time is set for 4:45 P.M. and the race will be shown on ESPN2.
Honor in War will see a little extra face time on ESPN2 as the Budweiser Long Shot. During ESPN2's telecast a horse from each race is featured as the Budweiser Long Shot, which is the horse the experts think has a shot to pull and upset and win the race. "Long shot nothing," said Wolford, "He's a cinch."
The Shadwell Turf Mile is open to horses three years and older and carries a purse of $600,000. Honor in War, who is trained by Louisvillian Paul McGee, will have jockey Calvin H. Borel riding him for the race. The early line on Honor in War is 10-1. For more information on the Shadwell Turf Mile visit www.keeneland.com.
