
Homegrown Midfielder Danny Garcia to Represent FC Dallas in Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game

FRISCO, Texas (Tuesday, July 22) - FC Dallas midfielder Danny Garcia has been named to the 20-man roster for the inaugural Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game that will be played on Monday, Aug. 4, at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon.
Garcia joins Philadelphia Union midfielder Zach Pfeffer and Real Salt Lake defender Carlos Salcedo in replacing Montreal Impact's Karl W. Ouimette and Wandrille Lefevre, both of whom had to withdraw from the game due to the Impact's CONCACAF Champions League group match that has been scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5. Seattle Sounders FC defender DeAndre Yedlin was named to the AT&T MLS All-Star team.
Twenty of Major League Soccer's top Homegrown players will take on the Portland Timbers U-23s as part of the festivities leading up to the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The game will kick off at 9 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on WatchESPN and MLSsoccer.com.
FC Dallas' 11th Homegrown player, Garcia has started all four games he has played this season. He was the ACC Freshman of the Year in his only season with the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2012 and was a member of the U.S. U-20 World Cup team.
Including Garcia (282), Victor Ulloa (1,114), Moises Hernandez (512) and Kellyn Acosta (412), FC Dallas' Homegrown products have logged 2,320 minutes this season. Ulloa and Acosta have both recorded assists.
