
Holl Signs with IceHogs

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs, members of the American Hockey League, announced on Monday that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Justin Holl on an AHL contract for the 2014-15 season.
The 6-0 d-man recently completed his senior season with the University of Minnesota where he appeared in 39 games and racked up 13 points (1g-12a). With only .6 seconds remaining in the Frozen Four semifinal against North Dakota, Holl scored a shorthanded goal which allowed the team to advance to the National Championship game. In Holl's junior season with the Gophers, he was coined an All-WCHA Academic Honoree.
The 22-year-old from Tonka Bay, Min. had a brief stint with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) during the 2009-10 campaign after his senior season playing for Minnetonka High School. During his time with the Lancers, Holl played in 11 games and tallied four points (4a). Additionally, he skated in eight postseason games tallying two points (1a-1g).
Holl was selected in the second round (#54 overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
