Hogs to wrap up 2004-05 regular season at home

Rockford, Ill.- The most successful regular season in Rockford IceHogs franchise history will come to an end Sunday, April 10 at the Rockford MetroCentre. The Hogs are gearing up for their third ever Colonial Cup Playoff appearance and individual playoff tickets will go on sale on Friday April 8.

Tickets can be purchased at the Rockford MetroCentre Box Office or by calling (815) 968-5222. The tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. and prices start at just $7. Dates and times for all Playoff games still to be determined.

Then on Friday night, the IceHogs will host the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:05 p.m. The game is the IceHogs Sixth Annual Muscular Dystrophy Jersey Auction. The Hogs and the MDA will be Rockin' the 80's and fans will have an opportunity to purchase the game worn jerseys at a live auction immediately following the game.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the local MDA Chapter of the Rock River Valley. The IceHogs have helped the MDA raise over $250,000 with the first five jersey auctions. Also Friday, the first 1,000 to the game will receive an IceHogs T-shirt featuring "Mullet Hammy", the 2005 IceHogs MDA logo, courtesy of Axberg Heating Company, Dental Dimensions, 13WREX and Q98.5 FM.

Rockford will then complete the regular season on Sunday, April 10 when the Western Division rival Missouri River Otters make a visit. Game time Sunday is 3:05 p.m. and the game is another Family Four Pack Day. Fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for only $40.

The IceHogs will hand out their 2004-05 season awards at a ceremony before the game as well. Awards include Team MVP, Rookie of the Year, Top Defenseman, Heavy Hitter, Unsung Hero, Fan Favorite and Leading Scorer.

Fans can also bring their skates and cameras for this season's final "Skate with the Hogs". Following the game, fans will have a chance to lace up their ice skates and meet their favorite IceHogs players on the ice surface. IceHogs players will be available for autographs and photos.
