Hogs Set to Open Home Schedule on Saturday

Rockford, Ill.- After three straight road games to begin the 2012-13 regular season, the Rockford IceHogs will open the home portion of their regular season slate with a pair of games against the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday and Sunday at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

For tickets to either game, call (815) 968-5222, purchase online through IceHogs.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet or at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.

Chicago Blackhawks Hall-of-Famer Denis Savard will drop the ceremonial first puck prior to Saturday's game against the Checkers. The first 5,000 fans to the game will pick up an IceHogs calendar courtesy of BMO Harris Bank. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Rockford and Charlotte are right back at the BMO on Sunday for a matinee rematch. The contest starts at 5:05 p.m. and the first 2,500 fans will receive an IceHogs picture frame magnet schedule sponsored by T6 Broadband.

The weekend will kick off on Friday with a road tilt in Peoria at 7:05 p.m. and fans can take in the game at District Bar and Grill in downtown Rockford at the IceHogs Road Watch Party. The party starts at 6 p.m. and fans can sign-up to win some great prizes including a suite night to an IceHogs game, game worn jersey, autographed stick and more. District is located one block north of the BMO Harris Bank Center on West State St.
