
Hoffmann Brings Home Low-A East Pitcher of the Week for September 7-12

North Augusta, SC - It only took one outing for Andrew Hoffmann to be named the Low-A East Pitcher of the Week for September 7-12. The right-hander went five innings of no-hit baseball on September 9th against the Columbia Fireflies (Kansas City Royals). He struck out seven and walked only one to earn his first professional win.
The right-hander was a 12th round selection by the Atlanta Braves in the 2021 MLB Draft out of the University of Illinois Champaign. His seven strikeouts were a career high, and his five innings tied a career high.
Hoffmann joined the GreenJackets on August 3rd and owns an ERA of 3.57 in six starts. He also has 29 strikeouts to only eight walks.
