Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. (August 11, 2011) - The Quad City Mallards of the "AA" Central Hockey League today announced Brad Hoffman has been named the Mallards' vice president of sales.
Hoffman joins the Mallards from the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers, where he spent seven years in a variety of sales and leadership positions and most recently served as director of new business development.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity to lead the sales department of a franchise as highly regarded in the hockey world as the Mallards are," said Hoffman. "I have heard great things about the community and about the passionate fans of the Quad Cities. We're excited about both introducing new fans to Mallards hockey and bringing back fans who are already with us not only this year but in years to come. This organization will make every effort to connect with each fan by delivering first class entertainment and exciting hockey at a great value so everyone can enjoy the Mallards live."
Hoffman brings a considerable track record of success to his new role overseeing the Mallards' ticket and sponsorship sales efforts. Hoffman began his time in the Panthers' organization in ticket sales and soon became one of the team's top revenue-producing sales representatives. He next advanced to a series of management positions, hiring, training and leading sales teams and overseeing a series of highly successful season ticket renewal campaigns. He went on to enjoy further success, first in directing new corporate ticket sales efforts and then in expanding the team's corporate partnership base. Hoffman's achievements coincided with a series of successes for the Panthers' organization as a whole, as the club reached new milestones in premium and group ticket sales as well as in client renewal rates during his time in south Florida.
"We looked all over the North American team sports landscape to find the right person to lead our sales efforts," said Jon Pritchett, CEO of CLUB 9 SPORTS, the Mallards' ownership group. "In Brad Hoffman, we feel we have not only a proven sports sales leader but also a great cultural fit. In high performance organizations, the culture of leadership is critical."
Hoffman is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences.
Season tickets for the Flock's 2011-12 campaign are now on sale. Mallard season ticket holders receive significant savings and a host of exclusive benefits. For more season ticket information, fans can contact the Mallards at (309) 277-1364 or tickets@myqcmallards.com.
