Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Stampeders and ENMAX have partnered to host tonight's Great Neighbour Game at McMahon Stadium. When the Stamps welcome the Montreal Alouettes at 7:30 p.m. in-game festivities will celebrate the many great neighbourhoods of Calgary.
Fans are asked to bring a donation of diapers or formula for the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters which supports the needs of Alberta women and children through over 50 shelters province-wide. The collection is powered by ENMAX. Items, which can be dropped off at all stadium entrance locations beginning at 6:00 p.m., will be delivered to our neighbours in need.
Celebrations will include the Calgary Great Neighbourhood Block Party featuring halftime performances from Siksika Nation traditional dancers, lion dancers from Jing Wo Cultural Association and dancers from the Brazilian Community Association of Alberta. Members of the Calgary Stampeders Outriders Alumni will also be present alongside Hitmen mascot Farley the Fox while the Federation of Calgary Communities will celebrate the over 150 neighbourhoods in our city.
In addition, fans are encouraged to watch for a major Hitmen announcement for the upcoming season.
