
Hinton Records New IBL Milestone

Kevin Hinton of the Brantford Red Sox became the all-time hits leader in the history of the Intercounty Baseball League on Friday night when he picked up his 766th career hit in a game against the Burlington Twins.
Hinton tied the record held by London Majors great Arden Eddie with a two-run single in the second inning, then broke the record in his next at bat with another single. Both hits came off Burlington pitcher Jordell Farquharson.
Hinton spent the majority of his career with the Guelph Royals and has also played for the Barrie Baycats. He is among the IBL's all-time leaders in many offensive categories and tonight broke Eddie's long-standing record. Eddie played his enitre career with the London Majors and also owned the franchise for many years.
The IBL wishes to congratulate Hinton on his latest record and league milestone in his long and distingushed IBL career.
