Hicks Returns to the Storm

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the re-signing of the MVP kicker in United Bowl I (UBI), Adam Hicks. Hicks, who scored 10 points in UBI including a 35-yard field goal with 3 seconds to go clinch the first ever National Championship in Sioux Falls Storm history, returns for his 4th season with the Storm. Hicks (University of South Dakota), is coming off another tremendous season in 2005 where he was 3rd in the UIF in scoring with 155 points, 1st in the UIF in field goals made (25), and 1st in PAT's made (80). For his efforts, Adam was named 2nd - Team All UIF last season. Adam holds numerous Storm records over his kicking career. Hicks is the Storm's All - Time Points leader with 437, he is the All - Time leader in Field Goals made with 72 and the career leader in PAT's with 221.

"We were not certain if Adam was coming back for the 2006 season because he's accomplished SO much as a member of our organization, but he realized we have a Championship now to defend and he wanted to be there to lead us. I always tell people that in this league a solid kicker will win about 4 games for you throughout a season and Adam has definitely shown that over his past 3 season with us," says General Manager, Colin Steen.

Season tickets for the 2006 season are on sale now at the Sioux Falls Storm office. For more information please contact the Storm at 605-332-4225. Player camp will officially open up on March 10, 2006 with first game of the season seeing the Storm visiting the Beef in Omaha on Friday, March 24. The home opener for the Storm will be Saturday, April 8 for a "Championship Re-Match" as the Sioux City Bandits enter the Sioux Falls Arena. On that night, the Storm will unveil their Championship Banner and Championship Rings to players, coach's and staff.
