Hicks Named UIF Player of the Week

United Indoor Football (UIF) announced yesterday that Storm kicker Adam Hicks has been named UIF Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 15. He went two-of-three on his field goals (45 and 18 yards) and made five-of-six on extra points to contribute 11 points in the team?s 49-41 win over the Bloomington Extreme.

This is Hicks? second player of the week award in the past three weeks. He also won the award in Week 13. Hicks is in his 6th season for the Storm and has kicked 131 field goals and 423 extra points in his Storm career. He has scored a team record 811 points in his career. Before joining the Storm for the 2003 season, Hicks spent time in the Sioux City Bandits and Rapid City Red Dogs organization.

Other players recognized this week were Garrett Mehl of Colorado as Offensive Player of the Week and Demoine Adams of Omaha and Joe Bevis of RiverCity as Defensive Players of the Week.

This weekend, Hicks and the Storm will have a bye before hosting the winner of the Billings Outlaws-Omaha Beef game next weekend in the Western Conference Championship game on June 28. Tickets are available for the game at www.ticketmaster.com or the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office.
