Hens walk over Braves

Toledo, OH- Ryan Raburn delivered a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 10th inning as Toledo edged Richmond, 6-5, on Sunday. Toledo earned a win with their last at bat for the second straight night.

Ryan Ludwick started the 10th with a single off reliever Wayne Franklin (0-1). He was pulled for pinch-runner Kevin Hooper, who moved to second on Jack Hannahan's sacrifice. Raburn, who hit a three-run homer in the fifth, came through again with a base hit into right field.

Tike Redman had a pair of RBI singles for the Mud Hens (15-15), who climbed back to .500 with their second straight win. Lee Gardner (1-1) picked up the win by tossing a scoreless 10th as Toledo took three of four from Richmond. Dax Norris and Jamal Strong drove in two runs apiece for the Braves (11-20), who have dropped four of five.

The Braves continue their road trip at Columbus Monday at 7:05 PM. Brian O;Connor will pitch for the Braves against ex-R-Brave Matt Childers. The Braves return home Friday, May 12 vs. Toledo at 7 PM. Story courtesy of Marissa Rega/MLB.com
