OTTAWA, ON - Scoring might have been a concern for Ottawa Fury FC during the Spring Season, but through the opening two matches of the NASL's Fall Season it no longer seems to be stressing the players and the coaching staff and Tom Heinemann has been at the heart of the improvement on offence.

After missing parts of the Spring Season to injury, Heinemann came off the bench to open the fall campaign scoring a crucial insurance goal late in the match giving Fury FC a 2-0 win over Jacksonville. Heinemann followed that up this past Saturday in Minnesota calmly slotting a penalty kick past Cameroonian International keeper Sammy Ndjock in the Minnesota goal. The goal pulled Ottawa level with 15 minutes remaining in the second half earning Fury FC a crucial road point against the Loons.

The very best in Tom Heinemann seems to come out against Minnesota. After scoring the match winner in the home opener in April to take a 1-0 win over the Loons, Heinemann scored his third of the season this past Saturday. Since joining Fury FC, Heinemann has scored three goals in four matches against Minnesota and is now 3-for-3 from the penalty spot since coming to the Nation's Capital.

While Minnesota was able to end Ottawa's record-setting shutout streak at 648 minutes, Heinemann was also given credit for the role that he and his fellow attacking players have had in the team's impressive defensive play.

Heinemann and his teammates have a very busy 3-game homestand kicking off this Sunday against Indy followed by a midweek match against the Atlanta Silverbacks (July 22) before facing the Carolina RailHawks on July 26.
