Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
A three-goal third period inflated the final in the Waterloo Black Hawks win over the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets to 6-1 Friday.
Isak Tranvik scored first on a drop pass from Josh Turnbull midway through the first, but the Blue Jackets tied it with three minutes remaining in the period. Kyle Reeds scored what proved to be the game-winner a minute-and-a-half later on the powerplay.
Another powerplay score in the second from Billy Maday gave the Hawks some breathing room. Two more powerplay goals from Reeds and Blake Kessel and an even strength goal for Brett Barta capped the win.
