Hawks Lose to Rox in Pitcher's Duel

Brockton, MA - 8/2/2010 - In an impressive pitchers' duel, Brockton's Mike Wlodarczyk tossed a five-hit shutout and outlasted Sussex's Jeff Icenogle en route to a 2-0 win. Wlodarczyk walked just two and faced his only major threat in the top of the ninth on his way to his seventh win of the season. Icenogle was the tough-luck loser despite allowing only an RBI single in the first and a solo homer in the seventh, both by Brockton 1B Melvin Falu. Outside of Falu's two knocks, the Rox managed just one more hit off of Icenogle, who at one point retired 12 straight batters.
