Brockton 12, Sussex 11
Sussex scored four times in the top of the ninth to pull even with Brockton, but the Rox capitalized on a Skyhawks error to answer with the winning run in the bottom half. With the game tied 11-11 in the bottom of the ninth, Rox C Chris Grossman crossed the plate on an error by Sussex SS Chase Fontaine to score the game-winning tally. Brockton had built a solid lead early thanks to a six-run second powered by a three-run double by 3B Phillip Cuadrado. After Sussex evened the score at 7-7, Brockton regained the lead with a four-run seventh, keyed by a three-run homer by RF Keith Brachold. But reliever Brad Hertzler couldn't hold the lead in the top of the ninth, allowing the Skyhawks to tie the score on a two-run single by LF Kraig Binick before Grossman scored the deciding run.
