
Havok Announce Shawn Anderson As New Head Coach

Mankato, MN - The Minnesota Havok are excited to announce that Shawn Anderson has been announced as the team's new head coach. Jose Jefferson has been dismissed by the Havok ownership.
"Unfortunately at this time we felt it was necessary to make a coaching change," said Havok Owner Stanley Legg. "We are proud to bring in a staff that all have the same vision in mind as the organization. Most importantly, they are all local to Minnesota and have ties to our community or the football scene in Minnesota. We wish Coach Jefferson and his staff all the best in the future."
Head Coach Shawn Anderson joins the Havok after working his way up and coaching at various levels in the Minnesota community. Most recently, Anderson served as Defensive Coordinator for the MN Sting minor league team, where he had two undefeated seasons, two MPFL championships and played in the 2013 National Championship. In 2012 and 2013, Anderson served as the Defensive Coordinator for the College All-American Bowl in Minnesapolis,MN. Anderson has served as Defensive Back Coach and Defensive Coordinator for several Minnesota high schools. Anderson graduated from the University of North Texas, where he played four years as a strong safety, with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education.
Joining Anderson on the Havok staff is Ken McCuen and Ben DeVries.
Ken McCuen joins the Havok as Assistant Head Coach/ Quality Control Coach. McCuen joins the Havok after leading the SW Huskerz to back-to-back SPFL championships in 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, McCuen was selected alongside Superbowl XXXI Champion Tony Mangini to be the Co-Head Coach in the 2013 All-American/Can Am Bowl.Additionally he was Defensive Coordinator for the semi-pro Sioux Falls Stallions, leading the team to a top ten ranked defense in the nation.McCuen and his wife,Kim, live in Brandon,SD with their son and daughter Griffin and Savannah.
Ben DeVries joins the Havok as Offensive Coordinator. DeVries brings a wealth of coaching experience to the coaching staff of the Havok. He recently won two championships at the semi-pro level alongside Assistant Head Coach Ken McCuen as part of the Southwest Huskerz. Devries and his wife Jacinta have one child Magdalene and live in Rushmore, MN.
