Omaha Lancers News Release

Erik Haula registered four goals and six points while linemate Matt White recorded two goals of his own to go along with three assists as the Omaha Lancers overwhelmed the Waterloo Black Hawks 7-4 Friday evening at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. With the win, the Lancers extended their current winning streak to six consecutive games and remain atop the West Division standings with a 9-1 overall record.

Haula's first two goals of the game came in first period sandwiching the first career USHL goal scored by Omaha's Tyler Lapic. With a 3-0 entering the second period, Omaha extended that advantage to 4-0 following White's power play marker midway through the period. Both sides traded goals in the final period with Waterloo inching as close as 6-4 following two goals from Zach Palmquist and then tallies from Patrick Divjak and Tyler Barnes just 2:20 apart. But in the end the Lancers simply had too offensive firepower as Haula scored two more in the third period including his fourth goal of the night with just one second remaining in regulation time.

Jeff Teglia earned his 4th consecutive victory in goal after turning aside 19 of Waterloo's 23 total shots. The 2nd-year Lancers netminder now leads all USHL goaltenders with 7 wins this season.

The Lancers are back in action tomorrow evening when they head to Sioux City to take on the Musketeers.
