Chattanooga, TN â Corey Hart single-handedly dismantled Chattanooga on Tuesday night. The Stars' third baseman exploded for two homeruns, including his second grand slam this season, and drove in seven runs in Huntsville's 10-3 win over the Lookouts at Bell South Park.
Hart broke up a 1-1 tie with his two-out, two-run single in the second. With the Stars up 4-2 in seventh, Hart launched Dave Therneau's 2-2 pitch off the scoreboard in left-center for a grand slam homerun. Finally in the ninth, Hart hit a towering drive to left for his second homer of the game and fourth this season. Hart is now second in the league with 29 runs batted in.
Huntsville hit a season-high four homeruns. Brandon Gemoll slammed his second of the season deep to right-centerfield, a second-inning solo shot that put the Stars up, 1-0. In the eighth, Chris Barnwell blasted his second in as many games, a solo homerun that made it 9-2, Huntsville.
Stars lefty Luis Martinez (4-1) picked up his fourth win, giving up two runs, one earned, on five hits and four walks while fanning five over six innings. Chattanooga's John Koronka (2-3) took the loss, permitting five runs on seven hits and four walks in 6 1/3 innings. Huntsville reliever Matt Childers surrendered one run on one hit with five strikeouts in two innings, and Mike Adams struck out two in a scoreless ninth.
