HARTFORD, CT - The Hartford Colonials of the United Football League signed the following players to the roster:
WR Jason Chery, Louisiana-Lafayette, (5-10, 185)
DL Chris Baker, Hampton, (6-2, 329)
G Colin Brown, Missouri, (6-7, 335)
DE James Ruffin, Northern Iowa, (6-4, 265)
The following players were released:
WR Shawn Bayes, Kent State
DL Brandon Drumgoole, Greensboro
CB Chris Richards, Stony Brook,
WR Mario Urrutia, Louisville
WR Chris Williams, New Mexico State
The Colonials roster is at 63. Team rosters must be reduced to 52 by Thursday, Sept. 9.
The Colonials open the season Sept. 18 against Sacramento at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Kickoff is 2:30 pm. To purchase tickets, call 860-718-0141.
