Hartford Colonials Make Roster Moves

Hartford, CT - The Hartford Colonials of the United Football League today added offensive tackle Kris Doura and wide receiver Travis Shelton to the preseason roster. The team also removed linebacker Craig Kobel, wide receiver Jerome Mathis and quarterback Bill Stull.

Shelton, 25, played at Temple and set the Owls' record with 2,507 kickoff return yards. He is a cousin of Chicago Bears wide receiver and return specialist Devin Hester. Shelton (5-11, 185) signed with the Denver Broncos last year. Earlier this year he played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

Doura (6-7, 310) attended Miami Dolphins rookie mini-camp in May after finishing his collegiate career at Charleston.

Training camp starts Aug. 18 at Sage Park in Berlin. The season opener is Sept. 18 against Sacramento at Rentschler Field.
