Harrisburg City Islanders vs. Charleston Battery Match Preview

Harrisburg - Harrisburg City Islanders look for their first win in their second road trip of the 2015 season, as they head down south to Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC where they take on the Charleston Battery. The game is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 kickoff at 7:00 p.m.

During the 2014 season the two squads faced off three times. The Black-and-Yellow held a 2-1 advantage in the high scoring series. The three matches saw a total of 12 goals between them, and you can expect this season to be no different.

The Isles' come in to the match with their first loss of the season behind them after loosing 5-2 against Pennsylvania rivals, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The goals on the day were courtesy of a Garret Pettis PK and Philadelphia Union loanee Zach Pfeffer.

" Charleston is off to a good start with a very good team. Beating a consistently successful team at home will be a difficult task, but we've had a good week of training and are eager to get points on Saturday." Said Islanders Head Coach, Bill Becher.

Charleston holds sole possession of first place in the USL Eastern Conference heading into this matchup with six points from two games. Most recently, the Battery defeated their northern rivals the Charlotte Independence 3-2, after they managed to hold on to a first half 3-1 lead. Charleston was powered in that game by their Cuban trio of Odisnel Cooper, Maikel Chang, and Heviel Cordoves.
