Harrisburg City Islanders Team up with Clarion Hotel

Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg City Islanders are pleased to announce that they have signed a three-year deal with the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, located at 148 Sheraton Dr., New Cumberland, PA 17070. They will host the City Islanders opponents during the fourteen home matches from April to September. The Clarion Hotel and Conference Center is a locally owned and operated by PA Dutch Hotels and is part of the Choice Hotels brand.
"The Clarion Hotel and Conference Center is honored to be the official hotel for the Harrisburg City Islanders for the next three years. We look forward to hosting their 2015 opponents and their fans, along with family and friends of the Islanders," said Deborah McClintock, Hotel Sales Manager, "We wish them the best of luck in pursuit of a 2015 Championship."
Clarion offers a wide array of services and features. Along with being a full service hotel, they also offer restaurants, food and beverage, meeting rooms and ballrooms. The hotel offers a farm-to-table restaurant called the Garlic Poet that is open daily at 4 p.m. All items made in the restaurant are comprised of locally grown ingredients from local farms and businesses, and they even smoke their own meats. "Our hotel loves to support the local community," said McClintock. "We support local farms and even belong to the Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative." Opening on March 2nd will be a new restaurant called The Grain Verse & Bottle House. The menu will feature pizza, sandwiches, and over 200 craft beers from local breweries."
The hotel's convenient location is close to Central Pennsylvania tourist areas. Many packages are offered for sports fans. "We offer a Stay and Play package which offers tickets to see the Islanders play. We do the same thing with our Harrisburg Senators package," said McClintock "We also offer a Romance package, which includes a gift certificate to the restaurant and a bottle of wine."
"We are very pleased to have established this partnership with the Clarion Hotel," states Club President Tiago Lopes. "They are a quality organization with great amenities and in close proximity to the stadium. With the expansion of the USL Pro league to include new teams and new MLS teams, we feel confident we are providing a great location for our opponents when they are visiting Harrisburg."

The announcement of this deal comes about a month before the 2015 USL PRO season begins. The Isles are preparing for yet another action-packed season. The Islanders kick off their season on the road on March 28th against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Highmark Stadium. The Isles' home opener is slated for April 18th against FC Montreal.
