Harge to speak at regional Boys and Girls Club

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., August 24- Joe Harge, head coach of the Arkansas RimRockers, will speak at the 2005 Southwest region Youth Development Conference in Austin, Texas. The workshop runs from Tuesday, August 23 through Friday, August 26.The training workshops and informational sessions help prepare individuals for careers within the Boys and Girls Club of America organization. Harge will speak on the topic of team building and developing young people within a team atmosphere.

"It is an honor to be included in the Boys and Girls Club regional meetings," Harge said. "It is a place where I was able to play and develop as a young man. I enjoy the fact that I am able to give back. I hope that I and the RimRockers can continue to have a great relationship with the Boys and Girls Club as they continue to develop quality young men and women."

The NBA Development League includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).

Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the league also offers fun, family entertainment at affordable prices. The D-League is a source of on-court talent for the NBA's 30 teams and is a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions.
