PRIDE CLINCH FIRST HALF CROWN
The Nashua Pride rode the rejuvenated right arm of Paxton Crawford to victory over the Bridgeport Bluefish 5-1 in front of a crowd of 1,657 at Historic Holman Stadium on July 1st. With the win, Nashua clinches the Atlantic League North Division's first half title.
Crawford put together his second solid outing in a row, protecting the 2-1 lead through seven innings. In the bottom half of the inning, Boston made things a bit more comfortable for the big right-hander, homering off the "Lobsterman For President" sign in right field. It was the seventh homerun of the season for the longtime Pride first baseman, who walked away with $100 in his pocket due to a promotion involving balls that hit that particular billboard.
