Hannah To Miss Storm's Game At Gwinnett Thursday

June 2, 2010 - World Basketball Association (WBA)
Marietta Storm News Release

Marietta Storm point guard Stefhon Hannah will be unavailable for the Storm's game against the Gwinnett Majic Thursday night at Dacula High School in Dacula, Ga., but there's a good reason why he won't be in the lineup. It's because Hannah, who's averaged 27 points and 10 assists during his time with the Storm, will be in Michigan to work out for the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks today and Thursday. Hannah will return to Georgia Friday and be available for the Storm's game against the Florida Flight Saturday in Marietta.

"Stefhon has shown to be a bona fide NBA prospect with great leadership and work ethic," said Marietta head coach Lionel Garrett. "The Marietta Storm organization wishes Stefhon the best this week."

The Thursday and Saturday games are both scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. as the WBA has a full slate of action scheduled for this weekend. Following the Marietta-Gwinnett game Thursday, two games are on tap for Friday, with the Franklin (Tenn.) Knights going to Decatur, Ga. to take on the Court Kings at Agnes Scott College and the Jacksonville BlueWaves are in Kissimmee, Fla. to face their in-state rivals, the Florida Flight.

Two more games are scheduled for Saturday, with Florida going to Marietta to take on the Storm and Gwinnett traveling to Franklin to face the Knights. The weekend closes out with a single Sunday game between Decatur and the Jacksonville BlueWaves in Jacksonville.

The WBA Exposure League serves as a training ground to develop players on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on exposure, development, community involvement, and most importantly providing an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment. Hundreds of former WBA Players have gone on to play professional basketball all over the world including the D-League and NBA.
