In a preview of the First Round Playoff Game the Hammerheads demolished Frisco 54-36. Roy Salas who has moved back to Defensive Back finished with 2 interceptions off of the former Southern Miss Star Dustin Almond. Jason Lee also picked off Almond.
The Hammerheads led 34-14 at the Half and then extended their lead to 41-14 early in the 3rd. Fred Wallace finished with 2 rushing Td's (5 and 6 yards). Nathaniel Dunn caught 2 Td's (17 and 9 yards). Schuyler Anderson finished with 3 rushing Td's. Terrance Pearson added a 25 yard TD catch.
The Frisco Thunder will travel to Robstown on August 4th @ 6:05 to take on the Hammerheads in the 1st round of the IFL Playoffs. All tickets for the Playoff game are Buy one Get one Free and are available by calling 814-PASS.
The 12-2 finish is the best regular season the Hammerheads have ever had. The previous best finish was 9-5 last season. The other 1st Round Playoff game will feature the Louisiana Swashbucklers vs. the Odessa Roughnecks at 7:05 in Lake Charles.
