Robstown, TX. The Corpus Christi Hammerheads who are coming off of their best season ever in 2006 would like to announce they will be hosting their annual open tryouts on March 3rd at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds (Exhibit Hall B) in Robstown.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and out of High School.
Training Camp will open April 1st, 2007. The training camp roster will consist of no more than 35 players and the team will carry a regular season roster of 25 players. "The past two open tryouts have brought in some great local talent such as Fred Wallace," stated Head Coach Jason McKinley.
Registration Fee is $50 if you pre-register and $60 if you register the day of. Below is the Itinerary for the tryout on March 3rd at Exhibit Hall B:
9:00 AM Registration (Everyone except Kickers)
9 AM - 10 AM Stretching/Warm ups
10AM - 11:30 AM Testing
40 yard dash
5-10-5 agility
11:30AM - 1 PM Position Specific Drills
12:00 PM Kickers Register and Stretch/Warmup
12PM - 1PM Team (8 on 8)
1:00 PM Kickers Tryout
