JOLIET, IL - The Joliet JackHammers will hold tryouts for the "Hammer Time Team" on Thursday, April 23 at McBrody's Bar & Grill (73 W. Jefferson St.) from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The "Hammer Time Team" promotes the JackHammers at local bars and restaurants, as well as during select games. The JackHammers 2009 season begins at Silver Cross Field on Friday, May 15 at 7:05 p.m. versus the Schaumburg Flyers.
"Thanks in large part to the hard work of the 'Hammer Time Team,' our 'Thirsty Thursdays' were more successful than ever last season," said Executive Vice President/General Manager, Kelly Sufka. "We are really hoping to build upon that success this season."
Specifically, the JackHammers are seeking females who are over the age of 21. All those planning to tryout should be available on Thursday nights from May through July. In addition to getting paid, those selected will get to meet the JackHammers players and coaches, wear cool jerseys, receive discounts on merchandise, and much, much more!
"We are going to have a lot of fun this season," said Game Day & Promotions Manager, Sean Keegan. "All those who plan on trying out should definitely have that in mind."
LOOSE GRAVEL: The JackHammers are also looking to fill a few positions on their "FUNstruction Crew." Ideal candidates are outgoing, energetic and not afraid to perform in front of a crowd.
